Top 5 Common Problems with PC Computers and Solutions!

1. Blue Screen of Death (BSoD)

The BSoD is generally caused by issue with computer's hardware or software. A “Stop Error” occurs when the Window crashes or stops working. Your computer will automatically restart to reset the Windows.

For Windows 8 and 10 PCs, it will display specific error code below. Be sure to write down this down so that you can do a Google search of the error to find a solution.

For Windows 7 and previous versions of Windows, a blue screen with a bunch of computer jargon will pop up instead.

2. Strange Noises

If you hear a strange “clicky” noise inside of your computer, it might be an indicator that your computer’s hard drive might be failing. If this is the case, be sure to back up all your data onto a separate portable hard drive or cloud storage application. The hard drive has the potential to fail at any time, so it is imperative that you back up your data ASAP! 3. Overheating

If your computer gets really hot over a short period of time, it might be due to debris such as dust and dirt that have built up inside of your computer over time. Try taking an air compressor or can of air to blow out any of the dust or debris. Also, your computer’s fan might be malfunctioning as well. If so, take it to your local computer repair shop. They can fix it easily for you.

4. Windows Won't Boot Up

5. Computer is Running Slow

Your computer might be running slow for a variety of reasons. Your computer might have a virus, it might have too many documents, it might have an older version hard drive that isn’t optimized to run quickly. Common solutions to these problems are reinstalling the operating system, switching your old hard drive to a solid-state hard drive, and increase the amount of the RAM in your computer.
